A mid-century-modern house is doubled in size and rebuilt into a two-story terraced family retreat. The entry’s orange color is an echo of California citrus groves, and the simple, Cubist exterior forms are clad in a playful combination of wood siding and cement board. The house, designed for Central Valley style indoor-outdoor living, is private and nestled into a mature garden, with large windows overlooking the pool.
